Job summary
We are seeking to appoint 3 Medical Secretaries for the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department in Care Group 3 for 37.5 hours per week, 30 hours per week and 24 hours per week.
We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills to join our colposcopy administration team. Candidates should possess a professional attitude to their work and have the ability to work flexibly in an extremely busy and rapidly changing environment. You must be fully IT literate with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge and experience of Meditech is desirable.
Main duties of the job
The Production of patient/client information re letters via audio typing to assist Health Care Professionals in the day to day management of patient care
Working to deadlines
Communicating well with staff of all grades and disciplines
Accurately record and complete patient information maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Record keeping updating information onto a database system for audit purposes all within acceptable timeframes
Undertaking audio transcription, including medical terminology
Liaising between Trust staff and outside agencies as required
Utilising IT skills
Receiving and dealing with telephone and e-mails in a timely and professional manner
