We are seeking a dynamic Band 6 Specialist Dietitian to join our friendly, supportive and forward thinking Nutrition & Dietetics team. Our 41 strong team are unique in that we provide a national award winning nutritional prescribing service in Rotherham. We are a fully integrated service in hospital and community services. This varied role covers both acute adult inpatients and outpatient diabetes clinics. Youll provide expert nutritional assessment, care planning, and education to a diverse caseload, including acute medical, surgical, and complex care patients.

In the outpatient setting, you will manage diabetes patients, supporting behaviour change and lifestyle management through evidence-based interventions. Youll work closely with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to service development, audits, and student training. Main duties of the job

Inpatient Adult Care:

Provide specialist nutritional assessment and management for adult patients acrossmedical, surgical, and other acute wards.

Manage complex clinical cases including artificial nutrition support.

Work closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to develop and implement patient centred nutrition care plans.

Attend ward rounds and MDT meetings.

Prioritise referrals effectively to manage workload in a busy acute environment.

Outpatient Diabetes Clinics:

Deliver one-to-one and group education to patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Support patients with dietary management and behaviour change strategies.

Collaborate with diabetes specialist nurses and consultants to deliver integrated care.

Contribute to structured education programmes.

Professional Duties:

Supervise, support, and mentor junior staff and dietetic students.

Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and service developmentprojects.

Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in line with trust policies andprofessional standards.

Engage in regular CPD and training opportunities to maintain and advance clinicalskills.
