We are looking to appoint a highly motivated Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic and friendly Orthopaedic Inpatient team in delivering high quality, compassionate care.

The successful candidate will be delivering care within the Orthopaedic In-Patient Therapy Team based on the Orthopaedic Unit at Rotherham Hospital. This will include assessment and treatment of elective and trauma patients with a variety of orthopaedic conditions in a number of locations within Rotherham Hospital.

We are a high performing team, driven to succeed and support new pathways including day case therapy to support patients to have an enhanced recovery and post operative journey.

The successful candidate will:-

- Deliver high quality, compassionate care for patients with orthopaedic conditions.

- Provide assessment and treatment tailored to the individual needs of the patient.

- Work within the team to prioritise and plan timely discharges for patients from the Orthopaedic In-Patient unit.

Main duties of the job

This role requires assessment, treatment and management of a varied caseload of both trauma and elective patients in a busy orthopaedic unit. Including preoperative assessment through to rehabilitation and discharge planning.

The Orthopaedic Inpatient team provides care across several clinical areas including the Orthopaedic Trauma and Elective wards, Paediatric ward, Day surgery and Fracture clinic.

Continued personal development is encouraged and fully supported within the team.

The successful candidate will hold the appropriate Occupational Therapy qualifications, have HCPC registration, appropriate experience within the health care setting and be able to meet the requirements of the post outlined in the Job Description and Person Specification.
