Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our In-Patient Orthopaedic therapy team. The successful candidate will (on completion of the required competencies) be delivering care within the Orthopaedic In-Patient Therapy Team based on the Orthopaedic Unit at Rotherham Hospital. This will include assessment and treatment of elective and trauma patients with a variety of orthopaedic conditions. The working pattern will be 37.5 hours.
Applicants must:
Possess a relevant foundation degrees or NVQ Level 3 in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Care or equivalent with additional relevant experience
Have a good knowledge and understanding of Orthopaedic conditions and rehabilitation
Have excellent team work skills
Demonstrate good communication skills, including IT literacy
Demonstrate good organisational skills
Be able to use their initiative appropriately
Be able to use a practical approach to problem solving
Be committed to personal development
Have flexibility to allow for participation in extended working hours which includes weekday evenings and weekends.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will: Deliver high quality, compassionate care for patients with orthopaedic conditions. Provide assessment and treatment tailored to the individual needs of the patient Work within the team to prioritise and plan timely discharges for patients from the Orthopaedic In-Patient unit. Be responsible for undertaking administrative and housekeeping tasks within the department.- Be responsible for their own learning and driven to learn new skills.-Supportive of others and work within a team, motivating each other for a common goal.
