We invite applications from an enthusiastic, self-motivated Podiatrist to lead the Rotherham Podiatry Service.
We are looking for someone who has excellent organisational skills and the ability to lead and develop the Podiatry Service at the Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust.
You must have experience in the provision of a wide range of podiatric clinical care and will be required to continue to develop your clinical skills, as well as supporting others to develop theirs. You will have proven team leadership skills and be looking for the opportunity to further develop your management skills.
A key function of this role is working effectively with the Service Manager and Care Group Matron to support the design and implementation of a Podiatry Service with the capacity to meet the future demand of an increasingly high risk patient caseload. The post holder will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills combined with the desire to represent their profession, both within the Trust and across other healthcare agencies.
Main duties of the job
- Providing clinical vision and leadership for the Rotherham Podiatry Service
- Working closely with the Service Manager and Care Group Matron as part of the Podiatry Triumvirate to manage the Podiatry Service.
- Working with the Podiatry Operational Manager to balance clinical demand and capacity to ensure the provision of best possible clinical treatment across the: Community, Diabetes, and Biomechanics Podiatry teams.
- Responsibility for the service meeting the ICB agreed Service Level Agreement requirements and Key Performance Indicators.
- Representation of the service at Performance Meetings and Governance meetings and at the regional Podiatry Collaborative Partnership Service Lead meetings
- The management of all Podiatry Service staff across the Rotherham district in-line with Trust policy, working with support from Employee Relations and Occupational Health.
- To act a service budget holder to Trust agreed levels and to oversee the responsible ordering of any required stock and equipment and to Maintain the required Tendable standards for clinical areas
