Clerical Assistant
Part time - 24 Hours per week
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Administrative team in Nutrition and Dietetics. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self motivated, well-organised admin and clerical member to join our service on a part time basis of 24 hours per week over 4 days. Your role will be supporting the provision of an efficient and comprehensive administrative service to the Dietitians, Dietetic Assistants and student Dietitians.You should be able to communicate with staff at all levels, as well as members of the public with confidence and initiative, being the first point of contact for the service. You should possess good general admin and office skills, RSA Word Processing or equivalent, have a pleasant manner and be able to work as part of a team and also be able to work on your own initiative. Good keyboard skills are essential and a knowledge of SystmOne would be an advantage.Familiarity of working within a hospital / office environment would also be an advantage.Further details regarding the post can be obtained from Sharron Cussens, Administrative Lead on 01709 426244 or e-mail sharron.cussens@nhs.net
Main duties of the job
To provide admin and clerical support as part of the Administrative team to Rotherham Nutrition and Dietetic Services. This includes providing support to Dietitians, Dietetic Assistants, and student Dietitians in relation to:
- Booking Dietetic clinic appointments for patients using SystmOne- Generate prescription requests for nutritional products for patients- Supporting very busy telephone lines, dealing with enquiries from patients, GPs and other health professionals and action accordingly.- General administrative duties including dealing with incoming and outgoing mail, scanning, letters, accepting and checking deliveries to dept, and dealing with visitors.- Monitor and action e-mails received via service e-mail in-boxes.
