We are seeking to appoint a Medical Secretary for the Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Psychosexual Department based at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic team player, be fully IT literate with excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Knowledge and experience of meditech and audio typing software are desirable, additional tasks involve other administration duties with the department.

Main duties of the job
This role involves: The Production of Patient/client information re letters via audio typing to assist Health Care Professionals in the day-to-day management of patient care. Working to deadlines. Communicating well with staff of all grades and disciplines. Accurately record and complete Patient information, maintaining confidentiality at all times. Undertaking audio transcription, including medical terminology Liaising between Trust staff and outside agencies as required. Utilising IT skills. Receiving and dealing with telephone / e-mails in a timely and professional manner.
