Job summary
The Health Informatics PMO is responsible for the delivery of a range of Digital Projects within the Trust in accordance to the Trusts Digital Strategy.Working closely with services, suppliers and other Health Informatics teams you are required to have strong leadership and communications skills to ensure project requirements are fully developed and understood, documented and delivered in accordance with the Health Informatics Project Pathway methodology (PRINCE2 based) to introduce new, efficient solutions that will contribute to improved patient outcomes.The Health Informatics PMO uses the Celoxis project management tool for project tracking and reporting and all projects are managed through this tool.Any experience of knowledge of this product would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be given to the successful candidate.The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of assigned projects to the required level of quality and within agreed timescales and budget. The role will be involved with projects from Mandate stage through to Closure with an emphasis on business change and benefits identification and realisation.
Main duties of the job
Candidates will be required to demonstrate experience of full lifecycle project management involving business change and systems within a healthcare environment. Evidence of working on projects including clinical systems, asset tracking solutions and IT infrastructure would be an advantage.Candidates will be required to demonstrate experience of delivery across a broad range of Digital and Technology projects, evidence team and supplier management within a project setting and show evidence of close working with senior stakeholders up to director level.The Health Informatics PMO is currently delivering against a range of projects including Electronic Consenting, Asset Tracking, Wide Area Network reconfiguration, Windows 11 roll out, Virtual Desktops, Telephony upgrades, patient Point of Care interfacing Cloud based solutions. The successful candidate would be expected to deliver against one or more of these projects as appropriate.
