Job summary
The Rotherham Hospital are looking for a RN/ODP who would
like an opportunity to lead and support the theatre team within the Division of
Surgery. The Patient Flow Co-ordinator/Team Manager here at TRFT is a pivotal
role that supports the delivery of high quality care throughout theatres
including both elective and non-elective care. This will involve working
closely with the Theatre Matron, Surgeons, Anaesthetists, Service Managers and
other unit theatre leads. The ability to combine your clinical expertise with
managerial responsibilities is essential. You will hold relevant qualifications
and have sufficient experience to provide strong, knowledgeable leadership.
You will require a high level of organisational skills and have a resourceful
and professional approach to work. You should be able to demonstrate excellent
inter-personal and communication skills and have the ability to forge and
maintain positive relationships with a variety of clinical and non-clinical
staff. The Patient Flow Co-ordinator/Team Manager will promote and monitor safe
and effective practice, enhance the patient experience, provide effective
leadership and management and contribute to the delivery of the
Trust/Divisional objectives.
Main duties of the job
As the Patient Flow Co-ordinator/Team Manager for Theatres
you will:
Be responsible for professional day to day clinical leadership and operational
management of the department.
Work collaboratively with the matron/general manager and service managers to
maximise theatre utilisation and patient flow.
Act as a leader and role model, adopting a flexible approach in a role which
encompasses leadership, management and clinical responsibilities.
Ensure delivery of high quality, responsive, safe, efficient and compassionate
care.
Support the Matron in developing the service.
Demonstrate pride in their work and enthusiasm for quality of care.
Ensure that all relevant quality and performance standards are consistently achieved.
