The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust Therapies and Dietetics Clinical Lead: Locality Therapy & Intermediate care.

Band 8A, 30 Hours Fixed term, 12 months maternity leave cover.

Applications are invited for our band 8a Locality Therapy from Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists who demonstrate commitment and passion in the delivery of high quality patient care.The Locality Therapy services include Community/Domiciliary Therapy, Community Beds, Rehabilitation and Re-ablement, Falls, Young Adult Transitional Team, Urgent Therapy and Community Hospital admissions Avoidance Team (CHAT).This role will have designated responsibility for the Community Bed base. This is a large bed base across the region that has a primary focus on effective rehabilitation and service development for diverse patient cohort and a team that strive to achieve the very best patient centred care. This role is key to the supporting the development of both service and team and will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of supportive and pro-active stakeholders.The job plan for the Clinical Lead will involve 2 sessions per week within the clinical environment.

Main duties of the job

To be successful you will be an experienced therapist who: Displays energy and passion in the pursuit of service excellence and delivery of a positive patient experience Can support the Locality Therapy service to achieve targets and objectives Can evidence up to date community rehabilitation/clinical experience/long-term condition management skills. Has a commitment to developing the professional and clinical skills of others Can evidence the ability to initiate and implement service developments Demonstrates an understanding of current NHS agenda and its impact on clinical, professional and business requirementsIn return, the successful candidate will be part of a supportive clinical leadership team and receive regular supervision.

  • Diploma/Degree in relevant profession Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
  • Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the county and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010
  • Post-graduate qualifications relevant to Community Therapy/Rehabilitation or Long-term conditions/to Masters level or equivalent
  • Membership of Professional body

  • Project management qualification or equivalent experience
