An outstanding
opportunity has arisen for a senior experienced, dynamic, high performing Nurse
to join the Family Health Division as the Matron for Gynaecology Services and
Rotherham Sexual Health Services. Under the leadership of the Head of Midwifery
and Nursing and the Deputy Head of Midwifery you will hold an important
professional role for the delivery of Gynaecology and Sexual Health services
locally, providing strong and inspirational leadership to help improve and enhance
the development of these services at The Rotherham Foundation Trust.
Main duties of the job
The successful
candidate will be expected to provide managerial, professional and clinical
leadership to Nurses and support staff working within the Gynaecology service,
including Early Pregnancy, Pregnancy Advisory, In Patient services, Ambulatory
Gynaecology and Sexual Health Services, ensuring the professional contributions
of these staff is maximised to achieve the Trusts objectives and strategic
goals in accordance with user needs, and national and local professional
standards.
You will work
well within the multi-disciplinary team, influencing and leading others in
practice and in the delivery of clinical outcomes.
In conjunction
with the Deputy Head of Midwifery, you will facilitate and implement
appropriate training and development programmes for nurses and support staff
that enhance practice and care whilst meeting Trust objectives and Government
initiatives.
