Job summary

The Rotherham NHS Trust is a digitally mature organisation with two Electronic Patient Records,

MEDITECH and SystmOne.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our award-winning Health Informatics department and help us on our Digital by Default journey which includes automating Smartcard Access with linking to Electronic Staff Record, job roles and automating account creation.

The Health Informatics Directorate is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated and enthusiastic IT

Professional to join our Identity and Access Management Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a customer facing team providing high quality administration, maintenance and support for the Trusts Electronic Patient Record (EPR). The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with proven experience in the use and management of IT systems and will exhibit high standards of customer care. The role does allow for hybrid working and one years subscription to a professional body.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver a high standard of administration, maintenance and support of the Trusts Electronic Patient Record (EPR) and supported clinical IT systems in accordance with the Trusts digital strategy.

Key responsibilities for the role will include:

To undertake the processing of all key aspects of the identity management process, principles and purpose.

Support, maintenance, and configuration for EPRs and clinical systems

Provide 2nd line support, using ISM to customers for EPRs, clinical systems and a range of other Microsoft and clinical systems.

To ensure compliance with the policies and procedure in relation to the Registration Authority (RA) and account creation process and wider Trust/SLA policies regarding the issuing of Smartcards and creation of accounts.

To facilitate daily face to face appointments including drop-in sessions at the main Hospital site.

Assisting the Application Specialist Team with configuration and deployment of EPR systems working with project teams, adhering to project management principles, working to deadlines.

To develop and maintain RA Standard Operating Procedures ensuring it is fit for purpose.
