We are looking for experienced registered nurses with a special interest in women's health especially within early pregnancy and emergency gynaecology.

As a registered Nurse you must be live on the UK adult nursing NMC register.

You will be responsible for supporting your nursing colleagues and Manager in ensuring that our service users' needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care. As a centre of excellence, you will offer a person-centred approach to their independence and well-being.

Main duties of the job

Your role will include supporting patients undergoing emergency procedures, elective management, and caring for families experiencing bereavement.You will also be required to facilitate the daily routine of a busy surgical ward and provide full support to our multi-disciplinary team.We will give our full support in developing and maintaining your clinical skills.

An exciting opportunity have arisen for a Band 5 NMC Registered Nurse, within our friendly and hard-working team here on Ward A23 Emergency Gynaecology and Early Pregnancy unit, based on the QMC campus of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

A23 is a 16 bedded emergency inpatient ward. We work alongside a clinical triage and outpatient/day case management area.

We care for women from multi- cultural and diverse backgrounds experiencing gynaecological concerns and those who could be experiencing complications in early pregnancy up to 20 weeks gestation. The area provides 24/7, 7 days per week service. Mixed shifts will be required, days and nights.

We are looking for enthusiastic, compassionate, motivated, caring and reliable health care professionals. Although previous experience within gynaecology and early pregnancy is not essential, if you have worked as a student on placement or in a similar area this will support your application.

You will need to have excellent communication and inter-personal skills and willing to train if not already completed venepuncture and cannulation.

It is essential you are empathetic to the emotional needs of the women and their families attending A23 Inpatients.
