Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic Advanced Audiologist / Clinical Scientist to join us to develop their clinical and leadership skills across our IQIPS accredited audiology service.
The Trust is one of the largest providers of audiology across England, including opportunities in complex areas of Audiology including highly complex newborn diagnostics, BCHI, Middle ear and CI.
There are opportunities to develop specialised clinical skills within a range of areas and we would welcome a conversation with the right applicant about where they might fit best with our service.
Main duties of the job
This is an advanced level role in which the post holder will provide both routine and highly specialist clinical audiological assessment and habilitation of patients of all ages. Clinical duties typically comprise 80% of the workload. In addition other duties include line management and a lead responsibility for a clinical area. Leadership responsibilities will focus on a specific area across one of Children's, Adults, Balance or BCHI. The post holder will be expected to work flexibly across the service.
The post holder will have specialist knowledge over a range of procedures and practices, underpinned by theoretical knowledge and practical experience. The post holder is expected to have a sound knowledge of paediatric audiology including assessing and managing non-routine paediatric patients. The post holder is expected to update their own professional knowledge.
The post holder will be based mainly at Audiology, Ropewalk House and will be expected to also operate at ENT, Queen's Medical Centre campus as required.
