Cancer Admissions Triage Team CNSBand 6 Post 22.5 hours per weekAn exciting opportunity has arisen within the established Cancer Admissions Avoidance Team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHSTrust for a Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist Team. We are looking for anexperienced, motivated, and dynamic nurse to join our friendly and forward thinking multi-disciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
As a Cancer Admissions and Triage CNS you would be involved in a range of activities including; acting as an expertoncology resource to patients and healthcare colleagues, offering evidence based advice through triaging patients using theUKONS proforma, maintaining telephone clinics and facilitating patient flow 7 days a week. Being able to recognisecomplications related to treatment and where possible minimise the need for hospital admission is key.Applicants should have significant post registration experience at Band 5 or above within an oncology setting. The applicantwill need to be able to demonstrate evidence of specialist knowledge and experience relating to all aspects of oncologicalmalignancy. The Cancer Admissions Triage Team play a vital role in participating in audits and feeding back to the wideroncology team, as well as teaching in both a group setting and during 1:1 sessions.Informal visits are highly recommended.
