We are seeking a well-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team and contribute to the delivery of a high-quality service for all users of the Postgraduate Education Centre.
The Education Programme Coordinator plays a key role in organising and administering curriculum-related activities for resident doctors in training, ensuring that educational programmes are delivered effectively and in line with training requirements.
This role involves coordinating teaching programmes, meetings, inductions, assessments, clinical examinations, supervision arrangements, and associated documentation. The post holder will work closely with learners, supervisors, and senior educational leads to support the delivery of high-quality postgraduate medical education.
Main duties of the job
Organise and facilitate curriculum-related activities for resident doctors, including teaching programmes, meetings, inductions, assessments, clinical exams, and associated documentation.
Plan, organise, and publicise educational events and meetings.
Support Clinical Leads, Programme Directors, and College Tutors in coordinating educational opportunities for all doctors in training, including those in NHSE-funded and Trust-funded posts.
Act as a key point of contact for educational programme enquiries, responding appropriately to sensitive and complex queries and escalating information to relevant team members and clinical leads.
Work autonomously to plan and coordinate educational activities, considering internal and external factors.
Participate in the organisation and delivery of corporate and local inductions.
Monitor attendance at teaching sessions, identify individuals not meeting required targets, and report attendance concerns to the Training Programme Director or College Tutor.
Develop and implement systems for evaluating teaching sessions, analysing feedback, and reporting outcomes.
