Burns and Plastics Theatres are looking for an innovative and forward thinking practitioner to assist in the leadership of our busy and ever changing speciality. Burns, Plastics, Breast, Sarcoma, Hands, Head and Neck. Could we be a more versatile team? The variety of procedures is almost endless and most of them are carried out on the body's largest organ. We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic Theatre Practitioner who would like develop their skills as a band 5 into a leadership role. With the appropriate clinical experience you will work closely with our existing band 6 colleagues and team leader to support our developing elective service, meeting the needs of our service users.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a keen interest in improving and developing their leadership skills to enable management of staff, and be an effective role model, demonstrating high levels of clinical competence and expertise. You should be able to demonstrate involvement in service improvement, with some evidence of change management.
You will demonstrate skills in self-management, including time management, prioritisation and organisational skills. You will need to have a flexible attitude to work, be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and have the capacity to go the extra mile. You will be expected to exhibit knowledge of how we work towards our trusts vision.
