Job summary
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic registered nurse to work within our Colorectal nursing team.
The purpose of this role will be the provision of specialist support to take responsibility for the care of a caseload of patients having surgical intervention for inflammatory bowel disease requiring surgical specialist nursing care.
Main duties of the job
To deliver specialist nursing/practitioner care and support to a group of service users diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease who require surgery, by acting as a named keyworkerTo deliver, develop and maintain a quality, patient centred pathway of careAutonomously take responsibility for facilitating the pathway of care for patients with inflammatory bowel disease, who are undergoing surgical treatmentAct as a resource to the wider teamTo lead and provide specialist training across functional boundaries, as required
One day per week may be required to support our Colorectal Theatres Team
