Job summary
An opportunity has arisen to join the pharmacy team as a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist - hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB), covering the absence of the permanent staff member whilst they go on maternity leave.
You will lead the pharmacy service provision to hepato-pancreato-biliary patients at NUH. The Nottingham HPB Service is both a local and regional tertiary referral centre for all aspects of HPB disease and we are a centre of excellence for laparoscopic (keyhole) HPB surgery
The job will be based at Queens Medical Centre where you will work as part of the MDT providing high quality medicines reconciliation and pharmaceutical knowledge. The post holder will work with the other members of the MDT to perform medicines optimisation, including deprescribing and prevention of harm from inappropriate polypharmacy. You would also be involved in improving prescribing and reducing risks within the wider healthcare team in your given area.
In addition the post holder will also work within the wider pharmacy surgical team, receiving and giving support to the other team members and trainees.
