We require proactive and hardworking staff to work as part of a team within Cleaning Services.
The role involves cleaning in Clinical and non-clinical areas providing and maintaining the highest standard of cleaning to all areas in all wards and departments, ensuring at all times the highest degree of cleanliness, safety and care.

To be part of a Cleaning Services team that provides and maintain at all times the highest standard of service to patients, visitors and staff, ensuring at all times the highest degree of cleanliness, safety and care. Using chemicals and cleaning equipment responsibly and within health and safety guidelines.
The post holder is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital and designated wards or departments in line with the National Specifications for Cleanliness in the NHS.
Undertake allocated tasks in a flexible, efficient manner working within defined rotas and work schedules according to Trust policies and procedures.
The post holder will have their main base of work on either campus, City Hospital, Queen's Medical Centre, Treatment Centre or Ropewalk House however there may be occasions to cover another site.

Job responsibilities
Place weekly orders with NHS Cleaning assistant managers, amend standing orders for cleaning materials via electronic system, ensuring that orders have been signed first by Line Manager, reverting to paper based system or telephone/fax if electronic system fail.
Receive and count all deliveries and put all products away in correct locations within the cleaning services store
Advise Line Manager re; any stock discrepancy in delivery against requisitions.
Make up orders of cleaning materials & chemicals, cleaning equipment, hand towels, dishwasher salt for Wards/Depts using completed stores order sheets
Deliver completed orders to Wards/Depts checking that ward stores are not exceeding the department standard stock level, prioritise urgent deliveries
Responsible for checking that chemicals at ward level are stored in accordance with COSHH/Chemical regulations and Trust Health & Safety policy. Chemicals stored in a manner which poses a threat to patient care should be reported to the Line Manager
Plan and organises the collection of faulty equipment from the cleaning services stores, checking that each piece of equipment is clearly labelled with fault/serial number and delivers/collects to/from the Facilities Engineers Store.
Responsible for the security of housekeeping stock within the store.
Keep all store areas clean (in accordance with NHS cleaning standards) Keeping all pedestrian areas free of obstructions ( in accordance with Health & Safety regulations)
In accordance with guidelines (stores manual) ensures all area store sheets are processed
