Ward Sister/Charge Nurse Stirland Ward

Job summary

An excellent opportunity has arisen in the Haematology department for an enthusiastic, self motivated and dynamic leader. Stirland Ward is a 24 bedded Oncology/ Haematology ward.

We are looking to recruit a visible ward sister/charge nurse who is a professional role model dedicated to delivering high standards of care and gets the fundamentals right, someone who loves to develop others to become excellent at what they do and wants to make a difference. You will be a nurse who can demonstrate motivation towards delivering the highest standard of nursing care and the ability to work as part of a proactive and forward thinking multi-disciplinary team.

Main duties of the job

You will be self-driven, innovative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also be highly motivated with a desire to provide the highest standards of care, whilst demonstrating clear leadership. You will be accountable for the efficient and effective operational management of the ward, provide support and supervision of nursing and non-nursing staff; assist in maintaining and monitoring key performance indicators.
