Universal Outreach Worker - Sexual Health Services Location: Victoria Health Centre and community sites across Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire (including South, Mid and North Nottinghamshire/Bassetlaw)Employer: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS TrustHours: Full-time/Part-time (37.5 hours/pw)
We are looking for two, full time, or three part time, candidates who are passionate about reducing health inequalities and supporting vulnerable communities.

We are seeking a dynamic Universal Outreach Worker to join our multi-disciplinary sexual health team, delivering inclusive, equitable and accessible services across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a real difference within diverse communities, especially those at greater risk of poor sexual health outcomes.
Main duties of the job

Deliver health promotion, sexual health advice, STI screening and outreach services in a range of community settings - from schools and colleges to festivals, youth services, and more.

Engage and co-produce initiatives with underserved groups including young people, LGBTQ+ individuals, sex workers, refugees, people who are homeless, those with disabilities, and others experiencing inequity in access to healthcare.

Provide one-to-one support and workshops to promote safer sex, healthy relationships, contraception options, STI prevention, and lifestyle improvements.

Build trusted relationships in local communities, supporting early interventions and offering referrals to appropriate clinical or support services.

Support national and local health campaigns, develop accessible health promotion materials, and contribute to our social media and website content.

Network and collaborate with local partners and services to increase the reach and effectiveness of sexual health services.

Offer targeted interventions such as C-Card registration (13-24-year-olds), HIV & Hepatitis testing, pregnancy testing, and pre-conception support.

Provide inclusive, judgement-free care that respects the dignity and diversity of all service users.
