Job summary
Applications are invited for a full-time Foot & Ankle Fellow, commencing in August 2025 for a 12 month period. The successful candidate will join the Foot & Ankle team within the Elective Orthopaedic specialty at Nottingham University Hospital's. Applicants will also be considered for future start dates.
This post would be suited to Specialist Registrars/Residents who are nearing completion of their training and wish to undertake a Fellowship experience in Adult Foot and Ankle Surgery. FRCS (Tr&Orth) or equivalent is essential.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will join the Foot and Ankle team of 5 consultant trainers and their colleagues; specialising in foot and ankle surgery. The job will include; supervised training in specialist clinics and operating, once signed off independent operating, and research opportunities.

- MB BS (or equivalent)
- Full GMC registration
- Evidence of training progression FRCS orth, FRCSC, FRACS
Experience

- Completed pre-registration year (or equivalent outside of UK).
- Recent experience (last 6 months) and familiarity with UK Hospital systems & practices (or equivalent).
- At least 4 years' experience in Orthopaedics
- Complete or approaching completion of SpR Training.
Desirable
- Experience in Healthcare
- Experience of using healthcare IT systems
Knowledge/ Clinical skills

- Evidence of understanding and application of knowledge of specialty.
- Willing to seek help from senior colleagues as appropriate. Completion of MRCS/ FRCS or equivalent
