An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly and dedicated team as a Service General Manager (SGM) on a 12 month fixed term or secondment basis.
As an SGM you will be a core part of the Perinatal Management team, facilitating service improvement and improved quality of care across the Neonatal Service. This is based over two sites, and moving between both is imperative to show visibility and support to the team
You will work closely with your General Manager, Deputy General Manager and Head of Service to ensure effective service development, operational management and delivery of high-quality patient services for your clinical areas. We have a clear agenda relating to service redesign, modernisation and new ways of working to meet the ever-growing levels of patient activity and service demands: therefore a logical thinker with strong organisational and influencing skills is a key requirement for this role.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit staff whose values are in line with our Trust values. We are a large and busy healthcare provider and want staff who are resilient, focused and who have a "can do attitude". Applicants for this busy and dynamic role will need to have demonstrable experience of monitoring and managing healthcare targets, a team of other staff and budgets. It will also be essential that you understand health service provision.
