Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Maternity Quality, Risk and Safety team as a Clinical Effectiveness Officer, supporting the maternity services in Nottingham to improve standards of care.
NUH maternity services care for approximately 7000 women and babies per year across two sites, with a level 3 neonatal unit and a large community midwifery service. As a large trust, we have a reputation for excellence in teaching and research with affiliations with University of Nottingham and University of Derby.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about audit and supporting quality and improvement in practice.
The successful candidate will be working as part of a dynamic and responsive team across the maternity service.
Main duties of the job
Support and oversee audit activity within Maternity services as directed by the Clinical Effectiveness lead.
Support with action planning and outcomes of clinical audit and quality improvement projects ensuring that clinicians are supported and the directorate has comprehensive evidence of improvements that are being achieved as a result of clinical audit.
Provide advice and support for individual clinical audit projects, including support for data collection and analysis.
Provide regular reports on the improvements made as a result of national clinical audits, including analysis on trends and themes.
Support the development, endorsement and approval of policies and guidelines within the maternity services as directed by the Clinical Effectiveness leads.
