Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to train as a respiratory physiologist at NUH. Applicants will need to have the minimum of a BSc at 2:1 in a healthcare related science, and be employed in a lung function and sleep services department. You must already be competent to perform some of the investigations listed in the job description. During the training period you will be delivering basic respiratory and sleep clinical technical services under supervision as required whilst studying to gain a Diploma level qualification.
Main duties of the job
You will be working in a direct patient facing role, performing respiratory and sleep related investigations and procedures. You will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to use tact, persuasion, empathy and diplomacy in order to obtain maximal patient effort throughout the testing procedure. You must be able to work as an effective member of he team, and plan your own work and meet agreed targets on an ongoing basis. There may be an element of cross site working within this role.
