Job summary

An opportunity has risen for an education fellowship role within the Institute of Care Excellence, to support the Senior Nurse for Leadership & Innovation in the development of a current programme of study, together with teaching and assessment of students working towards the BSc/MSc in Leadership & Innovation.

The successful candidate will learn, experience and be provided with professional and educational development opportunities to personally develop within both clinical and academic educational environments as part of a fellowship structure.

To provide support to the Senior Nurse for Leadership & Innovation in the planning and development of an academic programme, together with teaching and facilitation of learning within the HEI environment.

Job responsibilities

The post holder will be a highly motivated and skilled clinical practitioner, who is a professional and proactive role model and communicator, with evidence of a substantial understanding of the education strategies and priorities within NUH. They will:- Ensure that education meets the specific needs of both level 6 and level 7 HEI students under the supervision of the Senior nurse for Leadership and Innovation as part of a NUH/NTU collaborative model for HEI.- Ensure education and training meets the needs of registered practitioners and learners at NUH.- Promote an environment that encourages learning, teaching and the development of all staff, including those undergoing training and education.- Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the education and training within the Instituteof Care Excellence.- Teach, facilitate and update clinical and educational programmes provided within ICE as directed by line manager.
