Job summary

Are you a highly experienced Dietitian looking for a new opportunity to lead a team and influence the future provision of Haematology services within Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent 1.0 WTE Highly Specialist Haematology Dietitian at the City campus- Nottingham, with a focus on implementing and embedding new patient pathway for CAR-T therapy within the current Haematology Dietetic service.

The successful candidate will have a clinical leadership role within the Haematology Team (supporting a team of three Specialist Haematology Dietitians) and will be involved with the development and shaping the dietetic services (which provides outpatient and inpatient Haematology input at the City campus). You will hold a clinicalcaseload, which will include a variety of Haematology patient pathways (including lymphoma, leukaemia, myeloma, bone marrow transplant and CAR-T therapy). We are looking for an experienced and proactive dietitian with excellent communication, team-working and leadership skills.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will lead the dietetic service for patientswithin the Haematology pathways providing dietetic advice and treatment to a shared caseload ofinpatient and outpatients. The role is linked to the CAR-T treatment pathway and you will be involved in the planning and implementation of this patient pathway within the Haematology Dietetic service. You will be involved with training of Dietitians and the wider multidisciplinary team regarding CAR-T therapy and the Dietetic considerations within this patient group.The dietitian is a core member of the multi-disciplinary team and will work collaboratively with consultants and specialist nurses to deliver high quality nutritional care to patients.

You will work closely with the Team Leader Dietitians as well as other Specialist Dietitians within the Upper GI Oncology, Head & Neck Oncology & General Oncology services to develop and improve our services further. As a Highly Specialist Dietitian you will support operational leadership within the Haematology team to ensure effective and efficient service delivery. You will be involved with promoting and advancing staff development and wellbeing, as well as providing expert knowledge and support for dietetic colleagues and for the management team.

This job will require working with inpatients therefore you will be required to wear the appropriate level of PPE.
