Job summary
Are you looking for an exciting challenge? If so, then the Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery Department may be the place for you! We are looking for a hardworking, motivated dental nurse to join our fantastic dynamic team. We pride ourselves on delivering a high standard of patient care. The Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery Outpatient Department comprises of two outpatient clinical areas which consist of the Maxillofacial Clinic and the Orthodontic and Restorative Clinic.
We care for vast range maxillofacial conditions including:
Head and Neck Cancers
Trauma
Reconstructive surgery
Management of the Temporal Mandibular Joint.
Alongside this we perform minor oral surgery for a variety of oral conditions.
We see patients for both emergency & scheduled appointments and have our own direct contact with
the associated ward also caring for these patients.
We provide orthodontic services at both Queen's Medical Centre and Kingsmill Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work closely with the whole team to develop and continue their skills.
Duties will include:
Working within a mixed role team
Working primarily at the Queens Medical Centre and also on occasions at Kingsmill Hospital
Assisting in minor oral surgery
Assisting in clinics for patients with Head and Neck Cancers, TMJ conditions, Facial deformity and complex dental treatment.
Assisting in providing Orthodontic and Restorative Care
Providing excellent standards of care.
Excellent communication skills
Maintaining up to date practice.
