This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest general surgery departments in the UK. Our elective care is also delivered across both sites and is has recently changed in configuration with a brand new theatre complex and elective inpatient ward opening at City campus in 2022.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support various aspects of this busy service, with a commitment to out of hours on call. This may be based at City campus, or shared across both City and QMC rotas. The daytime role shall be affiliated to one of our elective services but may be modified to meet the specific requirements of the individual. Examples include research or quality improvement projects by mutual agreement with appropriate supervisors, or targeted clinical training, eg endoscopy (colonoscopy or EUS). The latter may be suitable for Out of Programme experience, if appropriate training programme approvals are confirmed.
