We are looking for a forward thinking, experienced and ambitious quality professional to join us as our Head of Quality to cover a seven month maternity leave as a secondment/fixed term contract. You must have excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and an ability to problem solve and implement change in a highly regulated environment.
Main duties of the job
The Head of Quality is responsible for providing a Quality Assurance/Quality Control service to the Pharmacy Production units at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) and a number of other NHS and commercial clients.
The post holder is responsible for monitoring all licensable activities and ensuring compliance with GMP and will be named on all relevant Manufacturers and Investigational Medicinal Product Licences, as the person Responsible for Quality. The Head of Quality is responsible for the management of the dedicated purpose built Quality Control Laboratories (chemistry and microbiology) and its team of 15-20 Quality Control and Quality Assurance staff.
Following appropriate training, the role also involves testing of piped medical gas systems and the inclusion on the NHS register for QC (MGPS).

- Educated to a minimum of Degree level in Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy or a related subject.
