Job summary
Day to day management & responsibility for the delivery of a patient focused service.
Directly leading a team of professional facilities team leaders and responsibility of front line catering teams.
We require professional, proactive and hardworking staff to work as part of a team within the Estates & Facilities Services.
The role involves management of staff in Clinical and non-clinical areas providing and maintaining the highest standard of cleaning to all areas in all wards and departments, ensuring at all times the highest degree of cleanliness, safety and care.
Hours of work are 37.5 per week working a 5 week rota including 1 weekend out of 5 working between 7am and 7pm

Main duties of the job
The post holder has overall responsibilities for delivering the highest standard of food services to patients, staff and visitors.
The job requires management leadership skills in relation to budgetary and staffing responsibilities.
To provide first line management to facilities team leaders and staff as part of the zonal structure for catering.
To lead a professional team of facilities team leaders and facilities assistants co-operatively working within multidisciplinary clinical teams to understand ward/department requirements
Ensuring staffing levels are maintained within the department.
Directly involved in recruitment & staff attendance.
To achieve our performance standards and make the best use of resources to contribute to an affordable healthcare system
Carrying out national standards audits with senior clinical team, monitor standards, develop action plans and track progress as required.
Responsible for staff health & wellbeing first line management and undertaking team leader appraisals and ensuring mandatory training is completed for both team leaders & front line staff.
Experience of catering and / or cleaning services and the management of staff are essential though full training will be given.
Facilitation of staff training and education needs through annual appraisals, objectives targeting, safe working environment provision, SOP and risk assessments
