An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with the UEC directorate as a Ward Manager for the Acute Medicine Receiving Unit (AMRA) Working with a vision of "delivering excellence in all that we do" the Ward Manager will work with the Specialty Matron to monitor, and improve the quality of patient care across AMRA . The post holder will be responsible for assisting in the progression of meaningful changes to patient pathways and ensuring they are embedded into the service.Operational and clinical duties - focus on patient flow / governance / pathways

The Ward Manager will act as a senior for the Specialty, assessing patients and providing expert advice to nursing staff and the Multi-Disciplinary teams . They will be expected to be an effective leader and act as a role model within the service and make decisions based on reasoned evidence and within National and Trust-wide procedures and guidelines. Working with the Matron to ensure delivery of excellent patient care and outcomes. Assisting on the implementation of new projects within AMRA alongside the Senior Management Team .Working closely with Consultants teams onpathway design and implementation.
