An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced registered nurse to join the senior nursing team on Lister 1 as a Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse. Our team would welcome a forward thinking, dynamic Nurse Leader who is committed to ensuring our patients receive only the very best in evidence based nursing care. The successful candidate will display excellent leadership and communication skills and be able to confidently liaise with all partners to ensure the safe, timely care of our patients.

Experience within oncology and or urology is an essential prerequisite for this post and having strong oncology / urology foundations will provide a solid base on which you can further develop your leadership skills.

Main duties of the job

Lister 1 is an established area, that see's on average 1000 patients per month. Elective oncology and urology patients attend Lister 1 for procedures and infusions including immunotherapies, chemotherapies, interventional radiology procedures, blood transfusions, and central line care to name a few.

You must display excellent leadership and communication skills and be confident to deal with members of the public and the hospitals multidisciplinary team. It is essential that you have recent experience in an acute environment.

You will also be required to support staff and take an active role in band 6 management duties.
