NUH is on a journey to transform its rehabilitation services. Planning for the National Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) is in its advanced stages and we have agreement in principle to develop hyper-acute rehabilitation services linked to our Regional Neurosciences and Major Trauma Centre. This is a very exciting time to become part of Team NUH's rehabilitation services.
An opportunity has arisen for two B6 physiotherapy positions: one full time permanent role and one full time, 18 month secondment opportunity, both on our neurological rotation. This rotation covers neuro specialities across both Queens Medical Centre and Nottingham City Hospital including: in-patient neuro rehabilitation (Linden Lodge), neurosciences, acute stroke, stroke rehabilitation, neuro out-patients and Parkinson's out-patient rehabilitation.
NUH will offer rotational opportunities through NRC and clinical staff from Linden Lodge, the current neuro-rehabilitation service, will transition to the NRC when it opens in November 2024.
We are looking for a therapist who is passionate about neurological rehabilitation to join our experienced, dynamic and friendly multi-disciplinary teams.
You will demonstrate highly skilled communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work both autonomously and within the team.
There is 1.0 WTE Permanent and 1.0 WTE Secondment available.
Main duties of the job

In this role you will provide physiotherapy for a complex caseload, working creatively and collaboratively with the MDT, patients and their families, as well as external agencies. You will assist in ensuring effective delivery of service to patients, supporting staff and actively developing the service. This will include providing training, staff supervision and management, and actively engaging in service development projects, as well as supporting the wider AHP strategy at NUH. You will actively participate in student training.
You will receive support and training opportunities for you to develop in this role to reach your full potential. This will include peer and senior support, regular supervision, in-house and external training, as well as varied opportunities to engage in wider learning experiences.
You must have a passion for delivering patient-centred care and a desire to work jointly as a key member of the MDT.
