Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Hepatitis Team Clinical Support Worker. The post holder will support the Viral Hepatitis Clinical Nurse Specialist team which currently delivers care for hepatitis B (HBV), hepatitis C (HCV) and Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC) patients. Working alongside Pharmacy colleagues, Project and Data Managers as well as numerous external staffing groups, this is an exciting opportunity to improve patient care and pathways for hepatitis C patients in various settings from addictions service and prisons to primary care and beyond!

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for identification of people/groups who would benefit from HCV testing and/or curative treatment for the Nottingham Hepatitis C Operational Delivery Network (ODN) contributing to the achievement of NHS England's ambition to be the first country in the world to eliminate hepatitis C.

The post holder, alongside the Hepatitis Network Coordinator, will also assist the nursing team engage and monitor patients with hepatitis B.
