We are seeking an enthusiastic, well-organised and highly motivated individual to join our team in Clinical Neurophysiology.
We carry out EEG on a wide range of patients at NUH, with approximately half being paediatric referrals. The EEG services cover the whole of NUH, with portable EEG being performed on both QMC and City Campus. The service also covers Kings Mill Hospital in the north of Nottinghamshire.
Clinical Neurophysiology provides an intraoperative monitoring service for spinal and neuro surgery. The majority of SSEPs are pre-operative.
You will be a well-motivated team player, able to work independently with minimal supervision, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have a meticulous approach to their work, putting patients first and obtaining high quality recordings.
About us
Clinical Neurophysiology is a friendly team of 20 staff including healthcare scientists at all levels. If you are very recently qualified, you will be supported to complete a one year preceptorship in Neurophysiology, consolidating your academic learning and practical skills, whilst being supported to undertake professional body exams in EEG, EP and NCS. We would also strongly support recruitment to the national Scientist Training Programme to upskill to Clinical Scientist.
The department is large, with six clinic rooms and plenty of desk and study space. Based on QMC Campus, there are excellent public transport links with the tram running through the campus itself.
