Job summary

Nottingham Children's Hospital has more than 1 vacancy for a Clinical Support Worker within a Community Team who support outpatient clinics at venues across Nottingham/Nottinghamshire and The City Campus, so you must be able to travel easily to the different sites. Whilst you work within the Children's Hospital umbrella you will only be required to attend training on the QMC campus.

The post will be 16 - 22.5 hours per week (to be discussed at interview) with a view to working 3 days Mon - Fri, between the hours of 0830- 1630.

We run clinics within Health Centres and the Children's development centre (on the City Campus) and you will be supporting Paediatricians to carry out essential clinical checks prior to them seeing the Dr, there is also some admin required.

You are supported by a nurse who also works clinically based at one of our clinics at the City Hospital and a nurse manager who works across all sites.

The successful candidate will have previous experience of working with children, preferably within a health care setting. You will also demonstrate a talent for being caring and compassionate, and have excellent communication skills.

Depending on the clinic area further daily checks will be carried out following some training for the tasks.

Carrying out admin checks - patient details etc.

Carrying out clinical checks including - weight, height, blood pressure and checking urine.

Provide a safe and clean environment, keeping clinics stocked up and upto date paperwork as per guidance.
