Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Medicine Management team at the Queens Medical Centre campus as a Deputy Service Manager.
You will be working as part of a team, providing a high quality 18 Week Wait support to Consultants and the wider team, managing a team of administration staff, supporting the Service Manager and General Managers with projects and operational demands.
Main duties of the job
You will be a conscientious and enthusiastic team player who is able to communicate effectively with staff at all levels. You will need to be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the 18WW pathway, be well motivated and reliable. You will be able to understand and accurately convey verbal and written information and be able to produce clear data to highlight performance against the national targets as well as to support pathway improvements . The ability to manage your time and prioritise your workload whilst remaining patient focused is essential.
In undertaking this role, you will be expected to behave at all times that are consistent with and actively supports the Trust values and Behaviours.
You will have experience in the use of computer systems including Microsoft Word and Excel, and experience of hospital systems including Winscribe, Medway PAS, and NOTIS is desirable.
