This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of the Institute of Care Excellence (ICE) within the recruitment and retention team.
The recruitment and retention team support the recruitment of nursing, midwifery and wider workforce colleagues at Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH).
The team works collaboratively with the wider ICE teams and with colleagues across NUH.

This is an exciting time to be part of the Institute of Care Excellence, with recruitment, education and development central to the delivery of high quality care, patient safety and the support and retention of learners new to NUH.
Main duties of the job
You will work as a practice educator within the recruitment and retention team.
You will also work alongside the practice education team and multi-professional colleagues across the Trust and be committed to delivering excellence in staff experience to all new starters. You will need to be a highly motivated, skilled clinical practitioner, a professional role model and communicator, with evidence of an experience of supporting learners in the clinical setting. Responsibilities will include:
Coordinating recruitment events for new starters joining the Trust
Working clinically
Delivering clinical and educational programmes in both classroom and clinical settings
Developing and supporting preceptors, supervisors and assessors to adhere to the Trust and national guidelines giving appropriate guidance where required in relation to recruitment and retention
Working in collaboration with clinical nurse educators and senior nursing teams to ensure a supportive onboarding and learning environment.
