Job summary
This is an opportunity to join the colorectal service in Nottingham. The post holder should be familiar with all aspects of general and specialised colo-proctology. The post holder will support the activities of the service including emergency general surgery, colorectal specialty on call and all elective services. The job is ideally suited towards developing an interest in colorectal surgery. The job is split across the City and QMC campuses.
Main duties of the job
Full-time post at ST level in general surgery with an interest in colorectal surgery for Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. One post will be appointed. The post on offer is for three years with extension beyond this subject to performance.
The appointed candidate will be expected to provide support for a full range of emergency general surgery services and elective surgery at the level appointed to across the City and QMC campuses.
About us
Recent service reconfiguration has allowed the opportunity to develop a directorate with medical and surgical sub-specialities integrated along the lines care pathways rather than historical boundaries. The new integrated directorate will allow service provision, resource utilization and operational management to be more streamlined and efficient.
