Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our dynamic and friendly Childrens Therapy team, based at QMC in the Nottingham Children's Hospital which is part of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.
This is a full-time (37.5 hours) fixed-term or secondment opportunity until 14/1/2024 to cover a secondment in the Neuro & Oncology team, including both in-patient and out-patient caseloads. Part-time applicants also welcome.
The successful post holder will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of Therapy Services, which will include rostered duties on the emergency respiratory on-call rota (4.30pm to 8.30am) and weekend working rota, and therefore you will need to be paediatric respiratory competent.
Main duties of the job

Liaising with nurse specialist, MDT and community services.
Physiotherapy management of paediatric patients with neurological and oncology conditions in both an inpatient and outpatient setting as dictated by the needs of the service.
You will have excellent communication and team working skills and will also have a passion about working with children.
The post has a requirement that you manage and support Band 5's, Support Staff and Students on Clinical Placement allowing you to develop your leadership, managerial and teaching skills.

The Nottingham Children's Hospital (NCH) is based at the Queens Medical Centre campus and is part of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH). We provide In-patient and out-patient care for children up to the age of 19 years old.
With 97 beds, we care for around 40,000 children each year from Nottinghamshire and beyond, treating a full range of conditions, including planned and emergency treatment and surgery, Burns and Plastics, Neurological conditions, Oncology, Pediatric critical care, Renal conditions and transplantation, and Spinal and Orthopedic care.
The Children's Therapy team at NCH is a friendly and supportive department who work closely alongside the wider MDT, providing excellent evidence based care and innovative ways of working.
