Are you a HCPC registered ODP or a first level Registered Nurse with the NMC? Would you like the challenge of scrubbing for complex technical cases within a supportive well led team or providing skilled support to our Anaesthetists?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for us to recruit a Band 5 Theatre Practitioner to strengthen our Combined Specialities Team based at City. We practice multiskilling and are looking to recruit a dynamic Practitioner who wishes to develop their practice in either Anaesthesia and/or surgical scrub support.

You will be joining a pro-active, dynamic team of nurses and ODP's, who offer the best standards of perioperative care. Every day is different - challenging but rewarding. We pride ourselves on team work, learning and being forward thinking.

NUH is a Major Trauma Centre offering fantastic support to a diverse range of students and learners and therefore the successful applicant should either hold or be willing to work towards a level three mentorship qualification.
About us
We can support you to develop your own practice through exposure to complex techniques quite unique to Combined Specialities anaesthetics/surgery. We offer an in-house anaesthetic course for registered nurses.
The successful applicant will participate in the current Main Theatre rota which includes out of hours work, nights and weekend shifts. There is a commitment to Bank Holiday work and on-calls.
