Job summary

Maternity Triage, Day Assessment Unit and Maternity Advice Line Midwife.

Full and Part Time hours are available (Part Time salary will be pro-rata)

Salary £35,392-£42,618 per annum pro rata

We are looking for dynamic, motivated midwives to join our maternity triage, day assessment unit at both QMC and Nottingham City Hospital sites. The Maternity Advice Line Service is based at QMC, successful candidates based at QMC will be expected to work in the Maternity Advice Line providing safe patient care over the telephone.

Our triage and Maternity Advice Line Service is currently undergoing a huge service transformation including a single point of contact for telephone triage and the implementation of the BSOTS triaging system. We are looking for enthusiastic, dynamic, highly motivated midwives who are passionate about providing acute emergency triage care to women and their families in the antenatal and postnatal period

Main duties of the job

You will assess, implement and evaluate care delivered, so that the women's individual requirements for care are met in all aspects of midwifery. You will act as an advocate for women and develop skills required to manage own workload appropriately i.e. ability to prioritise.

You will provide acute emergency care and fetal surveillance to women and their families in the antenatal and postnatal periods.

You will practice in accordance with professional, ethical and legal framework for midwifery and work within Trust guidelines, policies and procedures when carrying out midwifery care.

You will undertake excellent midwifery practice consistent with research and evidence-based practice transferring and applying knowledge and skills to meet the needs of mothers and families.
