An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced registered nurse to join the senior nursing team on Loxley Ward as Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse.
Loxley Ward is an Oncology /Haematology ward and we care for a diverse group of patients often due to the side effects of their Cancer treatments, this will afford you the opportunity to develop your acute care skills in a range of clinical specialties. We are looking for an individual who is hard working, confident and possess good negotiation skills, enjoys a challenge and working as part of a team.
The successful applicant willbeenthusiastic, dynamic and a committed Deputy Ward Manager. We will welcome any forward thinking, caring individual with experience of leading a team who is committed to providing a high standard of safe quality patient care. The candidate should have knowledge of oncology/haematology speciality
Main duties of the job
The candidate must be able to work in a busy and fast paced environment whilst coordinating staff and patients. The candidate will be involved in the structured management of the ward and will be expected to take a team of staff nurses to complete and monitor all necessary training required by the Trust. It will be the candidate's role to maintain Trust Values and Behaviours at all times.
You must display excellent leadership and communication skills and be confident to deal with members of the public and the hospitals multidisciplinary team. It is essential that you have recent experience in an acute environment. You will also be required to support staff and take an active role in band 6 management duties
