Job summary
We are looking a Oncology Nurse with significant Oncology Experience in caring for patients with cancer, to cover 12 month maternity leave. You must have an understanding of systemic anti-cancer treatments including chemotherapy, immunotherapy and radiotherapy and to be motivated to continue developing a service in CAS for Gynaecology patients.
The successful applicant will work in collaboration with members of the multi-disciplinary team, in co-ordinating a smooth pathway of care.
You will be an expert resource to patients, carers and clinical teams in relation to Gynaecology cancer. This will include working autonomously, managing a case load of patients and developing and setting up Nurse led clinics.

Main duties of the job
To help develop the oncology Gynaecology service at NUH
You will receive training, support and guidance as a band 6.
Act as resource to wider cancer team and other tumour sites.
To work closely with services already in place for Oncology & Palliative Care in providing holistic and age appropriate care.
To provide specialist training across functional boundaries as required

About us
You will be working within an existing small team acting as the key worker for patients assessing their needs, including eHNAs, providing support and referrals to appropriate services.
You will work closely with members of the multidisciplinary team and assist in the co-ordination of the care pathway for our patients. Providing psychosocial care and assessing symptoms.
