Job summary
This role is a fantastic opportunity for apprentices who are currently studying for NVQ Level 2/3, apprentices should note that the salary would be Agenda for Change Annex 21 trainee rate (75%max of band) until they have completed their apprenticeship.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to support The Well which is our off-site complementary therapy, information and support centre for cancer patients down in the Town Centre, but provided by Cancer Services and which sits under the Trust Lead Cancer Nurse.
This is a Receptionist role for the service, someone who will work with staff, patients and visitors to the Department. The role is band 3 full time for 1 year but we could consider job share should this fit with applicants applying.

Main duties of the job
This new type of receptionist will work on administration tasks within the service understanding therapists diaries and booking patients in, but will also develop enhanced skills talking to cancer patients and families gaining patients views on support services, and assisting the team Leader and Lead therapist at The Well with patient engagement and audits. The rest of the job will entail receptionist tasks and assisting in the smooth running of this exceptional service working with our very well-respected staff and volunteers.
You will be the person who meets patients from the lift opening and your personality must immediately put patients and families at ease. We want someone with a warm efficient personality but support will be given. Experience working in health environments is essential.
