Hospital is expanding it's team of ACPs within the Emergency Department. We
already have a strong and cohesive workforce and we wish to build this further.

Whilst this job is
advertised for qualified we would be willing to accept applicatipons from
prospective trainees who feel they would be willing to undertake the training
programme.
This demanding but rewarding role requires a highly skilled professional
ready to take their career to the next level, working autonomously within a
fast-paced environment.
You will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary team, providing
expert clinical care to patients presenting with a wide range of
undifferentiated and complex conditions, from life-threatening to
self-limiting. You will demonstrate a high degree of autonomy and complex
decision-making skills, underpinned by the four pillars of advanced practice:
clinical practice, leadership, education, and research.
Main duties of the job
Autonomous Practice:
Independently
assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients, including ordering and
interpreting investigations (e.g., X-rays, blood tests).
Patient Management:
Formulate a
differential diagnosis, develop evidence-based care plans, and appropriately
refer or discharge patients.
Clinical Expertise:
Deliver
immediate care for the critically unwell or injured, demonstrating expertise in
resuscitation and advanced skills/procedures relevant to the ED setting (e.g.,
A-line insertion, chest drains).
Leadership & Education:
Act as a
clinical leader and role model, providing supervision, mentorship, and
education to nursing, medical, and allied health professional staff.
Quality Improvement:
Lead and
participate in clinical audit, research, and quality improvement activities to
ensure evidence-based practice and service development.
Non-Medical Prescribing:
Utilise
non-medical prescribing status in line with Trust policy and regulatory body
guidance.
