Job summary

This post is a fixed term/secondment opportunity until 1st November 2024.

We are looking to recruit an individual who shares the passion and enthusiasm of the current team.

To provide a high standard and comprehensive assistant secretarial service to the Consultant Physicians and support the Cardiac Nurse Specialist team with efficient and effective management of clinics. To be the main point of contact for patients. Ensuring that all appropriate care and consideration are carried out towards the patient.

Main duties of the job

To support the Medical PA to provide a high standard of medical inpatient and outpatient care in Cardiology for the local population of Barnsley.

To provide clerical and administrative support to the clinical cardiac nurse specialist team, so that patients requiring outpatient consultation do so in a streamlined process that matches their needs to that of the referring Consultant, GP or other Healthcare Professional.

  • RSA Stage 111 Typing or equivalent.
  • Audio Typing Stage 11 or equivalent.

Experience

  • Significant NHS experience at Band 2.

Desirable

  • Experience of Careflow EPR and Philips CVIS (Tomcat).
  • Experience of working in the NHS.
  • Previous clerical experience.
