3976 - Health Care Assistant - Breast Outpatients

Job summary

A rare and exciting part time (16 hours per week) Band 3 opportunity has opened up to join the Breast Team in the Outpatient department.

We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate individual, who can deliver high quality patient care within our Breast Team.

We are small hard-working team who pride ourselves on developing our service and our staff in order for them to feel valued for their contributions to the team.

Main duties of the job

To assist and work as part of a team to ensure that all safety checks have beencompleted and that clinics rooms are stocked and cleaned prior to clinics starting and throughout the day.

To assist and support patients in a variety of clinics including general, prosthetic and Nurse Led

To assist Drs with procedures in clinics e.g. Setting up & assisting with Biopsies

Ensure all appropriate documentation is completed following consultations

Care Certificate
Completion of a clinical skills competency- based workbook or equivalent relevant experience to vocational qualification level 3, or willingness to undertake.
GCSE Maths & English or qualified to equivalent Functional skills level 2 in Maths & English, or willingness to undertake.

At least 6 months of care experience working in a health or social care setting.
